Hi! My name is Caitlyn, the artist behind Heart and Home Illustrations. I am a trained animator who left the hustle and bustle of the big city for a quieter life in the mountains. My passion is creating portraits of all kinds. I love capturing likeness but more importantly, personality!

What makes a good reference photo?

Starting with great reference photos will make a big difference on the end product. Here are some examples of what makes good reference material.

Do you send proofs or previews before shipping my order?

Before shipping out your order, we’ll send an email for you to do a final review. Once you’re happy with the portrait, we’ll arrange for delivery.

Can I make changes to my order?

Please contact us within 12 hours of placing your order and we will work on making any requested changes.

What if I need to cancel my order?

Please contact us within 12 hours of placing your order, and we will process a refund at our discretion. After 12 hours, it is not possible to cancel your order.

What if I would like more than 4 subjects in one portrait?

The limit of 4 subjects is due to clarity. Trying to fit too many subjects into a size too small would result in poor likeness and quality. If you would like more than 4 subjects, please contact us for a quote of price and portrait size.

I was gifted two portraits for Christmas. One of my dog, and the other of my horse. They are both so beautiful and capture the essence of my pets so much they moved me to tears. Caitlyn is an incredible artist. I highly recommend her work! Thank you so much. I will post pictures of the pieces once my house renovations are complete and they are in their place of honour by my front reception area where everyone sees them first.
